What does the readiness score actually mean?

It's a 0-100 indicator across four dimensions (finances, lifestyle, market knowledge, emotional readiness). Above 80 means most pre-purchase boxes are checked; 60-80 means a few clear gaps to close; below 60 means hold off and tackle the basics first. It is not a lender pre-approval - banks check your borrowing power separately.

How are the four dimensions weighted?

Equally. Each dimension contributes 25% to the final score. We weight them equally because the dimensions you score weakest on are usually the ones that scuttle a purchase - finance gaps don't compensate for emotional unreadiness and vice versa.

Why do some answers not change my score?

A few questions are descriptive only (state, plans for kids) and inform the checklist actions rather than the numeric score. They appear so the recommendations can deep-link to the right tools.

Can I retake the quiz?
